Darnell Alexander
Darnell started off dancing at the age of 7 with Phoenix Dance where he was the champion in many titles all over the UK for a number of years. His first step into his professional dance training was at Performing Arts Studio Scotland where he studied for 3 years. Once he stopped competing in freestyle at the age of 21 he flew out to LA to perform on a major talent contest as part of Dance Illusion who was a very well established dance group based in Glasgow.
After returning back to the UK Darnell started teaching at many schools all over the UK, Ireland, Norway, Ukraine and Poland. He was offered scholarships for two of the UK’s leading dance colleges while still in his studies in Edinburgh; the first being Masters Performing Arts in Essex and the second being Rare Studios in Liverpool.
After studying at Rare Studios in Liverpool for 3 years where he was trained in all major dance styles by some of the industry’s top lecturers and choreographers Darnell was then booked for jobs for BBC, Marvel, Celebrity Cruises, Royal Caribbean and the world famous Alvin Ailey. Darnell has always been extremely passionate about passing his knowledge on to the up and coming generation of dancers and doing his part to help them reach their dreams.
